The purpose of this site is to bring together information about music scores¹ available online, with brief description and commentary on each. The tabs are organized as follows: Public domain downloads. This is free music that can be printed for use. This will be the largest section, as there is nothing musicians like to hear more than 'free'.² Clicking the tab without pulling down gives you general download sites. Free Human Anatomy 3d Models. This is further subdivided via pull-down tab to focus on various specialized sites: music for various mediums or functions, sites devoted to specific composers, etc. Note that in the case of living composers, download might be free, but the music is still under copyright, and performance rights fees (ASCAP/BMI) will apply.
Music for viewing. This is music which is either contractually forbidden to download (e.g., DIAMM) or where downloading is made difficult, though more often than not it remains possible.
(On a Mac, option-clicking the relevant line in the Activity window will do it.) These are usually facsimiles and other works which are of more scholarly than practical use. (Though many of us perform from facsimile, it is not preferred when rehearsal time is short, as it usually is.) Commercial sites. If the iTunes Store can sell audible music on demand, why not sell print music on demand? Illicit sites. Just as there are peer-to-peer sites specializing in pirated sound recordings, so are there sites which disseminate copyright print music. These are the e-version of the old under-the-counter-fake-book operations: print quality and arrangements are often poor.
They generally fly under the radar, since the doesn't have the deep pockets of RIAA. I had no idea they existed until I did a reference stint on Yahoo! Answers and saw people being pointed to them.
I note their existence for informational purposes only; this does not constitute approval of these sites or encouragement for their use. Note that if 'free' is more important to you than 'online', and have large holdings of physical print music. The Case holdings of popular print music are slim, but other OhioLink institutions collect more extensively in that area.
Also, there are licensed databases which are not 'free' (your tuition dollars at work!) but are free for the use of Case students. These are worked into the list where appropriate.
¹ Note that I use 'score' in the popular sense of 'musical notation' as opposed to the sense of 'musical notation of more than one simultaneous performer's part'. Solo instrument music, lead sheets, and the like will be included. ²Well, maybe 'Here's the check'.

They need a C Piccolo/Flute part transposed from the original Db Piccolo, and transposed F Horn parts from the original Eb Alto horns.
