Srw2024 Downloading Code Using Xmodem Hyperterminal
I did not know to update the boot software of my SRW2024 first, then update to 1.2.2b.I need to go back to the 1.0.0.86 firmware. Is it downloadable and will it work (ie work backwards and then do it properly)? I know how to use hyperterminal and the xmodem protocol if need be. View 9 Replies View.

Downloading code using XMODEM. Jan 5, 2011 I have had the switch for about 2 years and recently moved. Download Revival 3 For Android. The manual specifies: 38400 bps and 8-n-1 serial port settings using DB9F to DB9F cable. I have done this and tried using multiple machines/ports/cables as well as several peices of software (minicom, PuTTy, hyperterminal) and none give me any output from the switch at all. The trouble is that in its original config, it had 1 port locked into its own VLAN for management with port security and an obscure RFC1918 IP address which I cannot recall for the life of me.
At this point, I have no access to TCP/IP management so serial console is my last hope and is not working. Jul 27, 2011 I've been having a problem with a brand new SG300-10 switch that I posted about yesterday. I checked the firmware and it was at 1.0.0.27 and the lastest is 1.1.0.73. So I backed up the current firmware and loaded the 1.1.0.73 version and it seem to be CLI based only, with no web GUI. If so is there an easy way to reload the 1.0.0.27 using the CLI?
There is nothing in the CLI docs that I can see unless it's buried. The release notes for 1.1.0.73 don't say it's CLI only either, maybe something just went wrong but the CLI seems to be functional. I have downloaded software 3.0.1 from cisco, put it on tftp and started an upgrade via switch web interface. I have checked that the active image is set to 1, and started the upgrade.Switch has downloaded soft from tftp, and reported that process has been finished without errors.After the restart switch have 3.0.0.18 software again.
I have try to do this same on 4 different switches working in L3 and L2 mode - always with the same effect.Should I upgrade both images in the same time to get this work? I have noticed, that the new firmware is located on image 2.
